Sandy Vesledahl at Premier Bank Northfield alerted me to their participation in The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s annual Costume for a Cure. See the poster (PDF) for more.
I stopped by this morning to take some photos, grab some coffee and cookies, and make a donation. Last year, their costume theme was Elvis (photo, above right).
This year, the theme is the Kentucky Derby. That’s a personal passion of Sandy’s… witness the display case on the right.
The press release reads:
The Premier Bank office in Northfield, Minnesota together with 21 other Premier Bank branches statewide, are supporting the fight against Leukemia by participating in The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s annual Costume for a Cure on October 31st, 2008.
Premier Bank has been participating in the event since 1993 by dressing in various themes for Halloween and soliciting contributions. Thanks to generous gifts by customers and very enthusiastic employees, they have raised over $50,000 for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Employees and clients alike look forward to the yearly activity. The day is characterized by a sense of community, fun and much effort is put forth for a good cause.
