Congratulations to Rhonda Pownell for her winning the 2 year at-large seat on the City Council, and to Mary Rossing in her successful bid for Mayor. All who ran and won seats on the Council have their work cut out for them and they all have my support. I had a great time campaigning and met a lot of people who care deeply for the community of Northfield. Thanks to all who supported me in my campaign and I will continue to serve the city and the citizens in any way I can.
I would like to second the sentiments of Lynn and congratulate Rhonda on her win for the 2-year at-large seat as well as all the other winners. The new council will be busy and they have my support. Thank you to all of those who supported me and gave me words of encouragement throughout the campaign. I must admit that running for office was one of the most personally enriching things that I have ever done. I learned a lot about my community and myself. It was great to meet so many new people and hear of their hopes and fears for the place we all call home. I fully intend to continue to be active in the community and give back in any way I can. Again, best wishes to the new council.
Congratulations to C. Lynn Vincent on a very successful campaign. The numbers couldn’t have been any closer. My hope now is that she will decide to run again when the opportunity arises. As a former employee of Lynn, I know the kind hearted, extremely hard working and positively dedicated woman she is. She would make a superior addition to any seat in Northfield.
Best of luck Lynn!
Thanks to everyone who ran. I haven’t witnessed prior elections in Northfield, but by all accounts interest and participation are up both in the electorate and in the candidates. Though it may sometimes seem like a spotlight, this town wouldn’t be what it is without this high degree of interest and involvement.
