I heard an interesting fact the other day that Food Coops in the US (like Just Foods) have developed as a nationwide network without ever getting any tax subsidies. That is the kind of ‘green economy’ that everyone should applaud.

Thanks for the wonderful photo slide shows! (Hopefully more to another to come from this year!)To those who missed it last night it had the feel of the opening, a chance to visit the coop- but more importantly a chance to visit with one another. Community. Thank you to all the folks who had an idea for a coop in Northfield. Thank you to the folks who took that idea and decided to create a coop in Northfield. Thank you to those who made it happen! AND thank you to all of you who keep it happening- board, staff, but especially all of our MEMBER/OWNERS! YOU ROCK!

Just a reminder… Just Food is available to everyone, and as a member, I encourage you to stop in and check out the store!

You DO NOT need to be a member to shop at Just Food.

Support your local economy, support your local farmers, and come away with some great food and OUTSTANDING customer service.

I have worked for cooperatives for over 30 years. They are a phenomenal business model. We are fortunate to have Just Food as our community co-op. I like Norman Butler’s idea of adding a Just Beverages co-op — nice pairing.

John Thomas is right on when he writes:
    “Support your local economy,
    Support your local farmers, and
Come away with some great food and
    OUTSTANDING customer service.”
