“More voices”: Contributing bloggers for Locally Grown

VoicesOver the past few weeks, Griff and Ross and I have been talking with specific community members about the idea of becoming Contributing Bloggers on Locally Grown. A few of our new contributors have posts in the works, and we’re looking forward to the added dimension these voices will bring to our content and discussions here. Watch this space for the new bylines!

This is exciting. What a mystery!

Do you have a “Submit Content” tab or some easy way to submit proposed content to LGN? If there is, I don’t see it right of the bat when I review the top bar of options. I wonder if, in addition to these extra poster people (which sounds great), you might add a “Contribute Content” tab (or something like it) to the website so that others could have a convenient way to submit proposed posts. Perhaps you would still filter and/or edit these content contributions.

For an example of this idea, check out my website which provides resources for families in conflict in and around Rice County. I have a “Submit Content” tab to invite content submissions and I have an “About Authors” tab to give readers some background on the writers.

Carl, thanks for your comments. Like so much else here on LoGro, our idea of Contributing Bloggers is an experimental work-in-progress. We’ll have to see how it goes with our small cadre before we take the next step.
