    Hi all, how’s it going!

Mark Mraz is a genius, super teacher. Under his guidance, and after burning out as a clarinet player, I learned how to play the bassoon. He was very well liked by all and motivated us to achieve more than we thought possible. I also had his father, the famed Tom Mraz (English teacher). Also one in a million.

I don’t like the video. I’ve heard him sing and play better, and it felt intrusive… I wish you’d remove it. Get him at the Grand with his group or ask for a formal interview? Or did you do that?

  2. Thanks for your response Holly. I agree that the people we admire should be treated with respect and decency.

Mr. Mraz was very kind and open with my fiance and me last week and he agreed to answer a few questions during his concert. He knew our intentions and I am certain we placed no undue pressure on him to agree to the interview.

These videos are in the spirit of “man on the street.” I think Mr. Mraz’ musical talents, wit and spirit are evident in the video, even if it might not have included the best performance of his career. Hopefully others will see the video and make an effort to see him next time he’s in town.
